Sylvie protagonist on “Corporate Visions”: 50 years of excellence in luxury and high frequency
Sylvie is the protagonist of the issue 7 Of “Business Visions”, the magazine published by Confindustria Novara Vercelli Valsesia and dedicated, in this edition, to the topic “Creating value with supply chains”.
On the pages 79-81 you can read the article “Sylvie srl: 50 years of excellence in luxury and HF”, signed by Silvia Vaona and Elisa Vaona. A story that traces the history of our company, founded in 1976 in Ghemme and today led by the second generation of the Vaona family.
A story of competence, evolution and vision
Born as a small artisan workshop specialized in the production of accessories and semi-finished products for the world of fashion, Sylvie has been able to grow and transform over time, keeping the value of its technical and manufacturing skills intact.
In fifty years of activity, the company has developed a customized approach to the design and production of accessories for major luxury brands. Knowledge of materials and processes has gradually been accompanied by investments in technologies, new plants and increasingly efficient production processes.
Today Sylvie specializes in high frequency printing, a process that allows you to create reliefs, finishes and three-dimensional effects on different materials, creating customized solutions for footwear, bags, Leather goods and clothing items.
From idea to product
Each project arises from the dialogue with the customer and the interpretation of his stylistic and production needs.
The collaboration between the brands' model makers and Sylvie's technical department allows us to develop prototypes, experiment with materials and identify the most suitable solutions, in compliance with the identity and required quality standards.
The experience gained over time allows the company to follow various phases of the process internally: from design to production of semi-finished products, up to the complementary processes of dyeing and sewing.
The main applications include:
- embossed items and reliefs;
- high frequency bandages;
- embroidery, gaskets and multi-component applications;
- customized workmanship for fashion accessories;
- experimental solutions developed upon specific customer request.
People at the centre
One of Sylvie's distinctive elements is its people.
The company workforce is made up of approximately82% by women, who work daily in the production departments, technical and organizational. Experience, precision, sensitivity and attention to detail represent a wealth of skills that is difficult to replicate.
The transfer of knowledge between more experienced collaborators and new resources allows the company's know-how to be constantly preserved and renewed, creating continuity between artisan tradition and industrial innovation.
A concrete commitment to sustainability
Sylvie's evolution also passes through a growing attention to environmental sustainability.
In the 2024 the company has installed a new photovoltaic system with the aim of reducing energy consumption and achieving greater self-sufficiency. Interventions were also carried out on the insulation of the rooms, on the coverage and thermal efficiency of the plant.
The search for more sustainable materials, the responsible management of production waste and collaboration with universities and local authorities complete a path aimed at reducing environmental impact and continuous improvement.
Ethics, quality and transparency
Dal 2022 Sylvie adopted a Code of Ethics which brings together the principles and values underlying its way of operating.
Quality, correctness, responsibility and transparency guide relationships with collaborators, customers and stakeholders. Controls, periodic checks and audits allow us to ensure compliance with the standards required by the main brands in the fashion and luxury sector.
Being part of a supply chain means, per Sylvie, don't limit yourself to simply supplying a product, but build solid relationships, share skills and contribute to the creation of value throughout the production process.
